Atlantic Veterinary Internal Medicine & Oncology is seeking a Board Certified Internist to join our practice in Annapolis, MD Atlantic Veterinary Internal Medicine & Oncology (AVIM&O) is seeking veterinarians who are certified in the specialty of Internal Medicine, or who have successfully completed the ACVIM general examination and are preparing credentials for the certifying examination. Joining the team at AVIM&O brings a collegial community of nine other internists and three oncologists, along with the multidisciplinary presences of many other specialties. The adjacent communities have the advantages of easy access to the Chesapeake Bay, mountains, rural to suburban geography, regional and local cultural centers, along with venues of major sports franchises and college athletics. We’re also close to the many additional exciting activities in Baltimore, Annapolis and Washington, DC. Position Description: Our applicants need to be competent, caring, and compassionate professionals. Areas of interest or special emphasis can be developed. Duties will include referral level appointments, case consultations, positive professional interactions, and diagnostic & therapeutic procedures related to all aspects of internal medicine. About Our Hospital: AVIM&O provides the internal medicine and oncology services for Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Centers in three locations. Onsite specialties include surgery, cardiology, dentistry, neurology, ophthalmology and emergency critical care services 24/7 for our patients. The AVIM&O procedures areas are separated from common treatment room. AVIM&O equipment includes Olympus videoendoscopes, rigid scopes, Phillips ultrasound, I-Stat point of care analyzer with blood gas and ionized calcium, five way monitor systems, pulse-doppler blood pressure, CT imaging with fluoroscopy, digital radiography, among other in-hospital lab systems, monitoring equipment, numerous infusion pumps and appropriate treatment facilities. We also have stenting and laser interventional capabilities at our Columbia location. An offsite (Annapolis location) pet dedicated MRI facility is available to our patients through our associated neurology group.
