Exceptional Emergency Veterinarian Opportunity in Charlotte, NC
We are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity to join our independently owned veterinary specialty and emergency hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. Charlotte Animal Referral & Emergency (CARE) was founded 10 years ago by three specialists committed to creating an environment where exceptional patient care, great client service and, above all, care for our staff are the focus of each day.
We have remained steadfast in our commitment to being independently owned and creating a legacy for our associates because we feel strongly that having the hospital owners sitting next to you in a team meeting or standing next to you at the scrub sink is the key to having great quality of life at work. Another key to having a great quality of life at work is being surrounded by doctors who know collaboration is the foundation of great medicine and support staff who are compassionate caregivers and dedicated life-long learners.
Quality of life outside of work is important too, and Charlotte is a great place to live. Charlotte is a classic ‘big city with a small-town feel’ and was recently ranked one of the top 10 places to live in the country by US News and World Report. Charlotte is a fast-growing city with a booming culinary and brewery scene as well as a host of amenities and attractions, including professional football, basketball and baseball teams; the National Whitewater Center; museums; and a performing arts center.
CARE is seeking an experienced emergency veterinarian, ideally internship trained, to join our skilled and cohesive emergency team. Our ideal candidate is confident, team-oriented, and passionate about high-quality emergency care. Whether you're managing walk-ins, triaging critical patients, or collaborating with specialists on complex cases, you’ll be supported by a robust team of experienced emergency doctors (13 strong), as well as specialists in internal medicine (2), cardiology (3), neurology (2), oncology (2), surgery (4), and ophthalmology (1).
We offer a competitive compensation package including health, dental and vision insurance; general HRA allowance and mental health HRA allowance; CE allowance; association dues; license and professional liability reimbursement; life insurance; and a 401(K) plan with employer match.
We strive to create an environment where the staff work together to fulfill the clinic’s mission and in turn are respected and valued for their contributions. If you want to live in a great part of the country and joyfully practice high-level emergency medicine with a spirit of camaraderie, please contact Dr. Peggy Sayer at [email protected].
