Baytree Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced veterinarian to join our 2-doctor team. We’re located in Valdosta, Georgia, a South Georgia community about 15 miles from the Florida state line.
We’re searching for a compassionate veterinarian that values collaboration, loves mentorship, and will fit in perfectly with our positive culture. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to take on a leadership position. We’re also happy to consider hiring an associate veterinarian who has goals of taking on a leadership role in the future. Must be licensed, or able to become licensed, in the state of Georgia for consideration.
This is a full-time role with flexible scheduling. There are no weekend, emergency, or on-call services for this position.
Background and Experience:
- Strong leadership skills (prior experience in a leadership role is a plus!)
- Ability to collaborate with our existing team (2 DVMs & talented support members)
- Have a strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Build and uphold existing relationships with the local community
- Be hardworking, honest, and confident in your abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Grow relationships within the practice and the community
- Encourage the growth of support staff members
- Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments
- Oversee the medical care of all patients
- Serve as the veterinarian of record for all required hospital permits and licenses
- Partner with hospital leadership to ensure medical quality
- Assist Practice Manager with the staffing and scheduling
Compensation:
We offer flexible compensation options: choose between base salary, salary + production, or production only—whichever style fits your needs the best! We’re also offering a generous sign-on bonus and no negative accrual for this role.
