As a veterinarian with El Paso Animal Services, you’ll go beyond routine care—you’ll be a hero for animals in need. Your work will include:
- Delivering Compassionate Care: Provide routine and emergency medical treatment, perform surgeries, and administer needed medications to ensure the health and safety of animals in our care.
- Leading Preventive Medicine: Design and implement vaccination, parasite control, and bio-safety protocols to keep our animals healthy and safe.
- Enforcing Animal Welfare Standards: Collaborate with local agencies to uphold laws, and ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, DEA, CDC, and Texas regulations.
- Innovating and Mentoring: Work alongside our Chief and Senior Veterinarian to mentor new grads, supervise staff, and drive advancements in animal care and disease control.
- Specialized Training: Gain expertise in High-Quality, High-Volume Spay/Neuter (HQHVSN) techniques, enhancing your skills and impact.

Requirements
Education and Experience: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).
Licenses and Certificates: Licensed to practice Veterinary Medicine in the State of Texas by the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners prior to appointment or licensed in another state. If licensed in another state, must obtain Texas License within 30 days of appointment.
Texas and Federal Controlled Substances Registration, and USDA accreditation within 45 days of appointment.
Valid Texas Class "C" Driver License or equivalent from another state by time of appointment.
