We are actively seeking an experienced fulltime Hospital Manager, capable of managing up to 6 Leads in our state-of-the-art medical center. In partnership with the Hospital Administrator, the Hospital Manager plays a vital role in the hospital, managing day-to-day operations so the medical team can devote their time to delivering the highest quality veterinary care. The Hospital Manager operates an effective and productive hospital team, ensures a safe and engaging hospital environment, and improves both the medical quality and business performance of the hospital.
Our state-of-the-art equipment includes digital radiology, a full-service in-house IDEXX lab, laser therapy, ultrasonography, blood-pressure monitor and digital dental radiology just to name a few. The Hospital Manager at times will multi-function as a veterinary technician and must be able to successfully restrain animals, communicate clearly with clients, complete clinical laboratory tests, use multiple radiology techniques, administer and monitor animals under anesthesia, assist in surgery when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Handles client concerns and resolves client communication issues (along with the Medical Director and Hospital Administrator, as needed).
Assists in establishing hospital standard operating procedures/protocols (SOP) and training protocols for all staff members.
Helps to coordinate training sessions and staff CE as needed (including CVA courses and the needed staff completion of this program)
Oversees and develops employee schedules; manages PTO requests with the Hospital Administrator.
Assists the Hospital Administrator in the management of the vets’ schedules.
Assists when needed with reception duties including but not limited to: answering and triaging client phone calls, scheduling appointments and procedures, checking in clients, filling prescriptions, discharging patients.
Monitors and ensures efficient hospital flow daily.
Maintains proper documentation in the electronic medical record.
Mediates all personnel problems and maintains employee motivation.

Candidates must have the following to qualify for our interview process:
Preferred: Graduate from AVMA accredited program and /or 3-5 years' experience as a Clinic Manager / or Hospital Manager supervising a staff of at least 6 direct report/ supervisors. CVT preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience that is determined to be directly related to the specific requirements may be substituted.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule (including Saturdays). We are open 6 days a week; schedules (4 days of 10 hours) will be as needed to facilitate business needs/hours.
Familiarity with Avimark a plus.
Candidates must have leadership skills, be eager to learn, show initiative, possess great customer service skills, have an understanding of vaccine and product protocols, and be able to work in a very fast-paced environment with minor supervision.
