The Pet Mechanic Veterinary Centers are seeking an experienced Practice Manager. The Practice Manager will be responsible for overseeing or 920 South Street location. The Pet Mechanic maintains two state of the art facilities at our new 1416 Frankford Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19125 clinic, and our current 920 South Street in Philadelphia, PA clinic. Our goal is to provide high-quality medical care. Patient care and client satisfaction are our top priorities. This position is a full-time position. - Recruit, interview and hire new employees
- Establish work schedules for staff
- Manage daily work assignments
- Understand and ensure compliance with OSHA, DEA, and FDA
- Follow protocols for facility maintenance communicate regarding repair and maintenance of equipment, buildings, and grounds
- Maintain inventory including controlled substance ordering, tracking, security and destruction
- Ensure staff is properly trained
- Maintain practice schedules and book of business to ensure all clients receive the care they deserve and expect
- Document and report accidents
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Business, a related discipline or equivalent experience is required • 2+ years of job-specific experience in a management role within the veterinary industry or equivalent hospital setting required • Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) preferred • Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrate the capability to organize work efficiently, set priorities and establish plans and timetables for achieving goals • Exhibit effectiveness as a leader capable of influencing and motivating others to success toward a common goal • Strong conflict resolution skills • Must possess a valid driver's license and be available to travel to other hospital locations as necessary Please respond to this advertisement with your resume and desired salary.
