Amanda Animal Hospital is a multi-doctor busy mixed animal practice in Lancaster, Ohio about 45 minutes southeast of Columbus. We are located half-way between the bustling metropolis of Columbus and the quiet area of Hocking Hills, so there is a ton of things to do in your down time! We are a close-knit group of doctors, registered veterinary technicians, assistants, and receptionists that prides ourselves on client and patient care. Our practice provides large and small animal medicine to Fairfield and the surrounding counties. Our small animal side of the practice is equipped with in-house bloodwork, digital radiography, ultrasound, and therapeutic laser. We provide wellness exams, sick patient care, soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery. Our large animal side is equipped with 2 fully-stocked vet trucks for ambulatory work, but we also offer a haul-in facility for food animal and equine patients. Large animal work consists mainly of cow/calf and feedlot operations, as well as a large section of show animals (4H, etc), swine, goats, sheep, backyard poultry, and camelids. Portable ultrasound, portable chute, equine stocks, 3 large animal hospitalization stalls, and an equine surgical suite help us perform excellent large animal and equine medicine.
We are looking for an positive individual that is willing to learn and explore new avenues of medicine (embryo transfer, AI, exotics, etc.) We are truly a mixed animal clinic and we sometimes never know what we are going to get the pleasure of working on that day, so flexibility is a must for this position!

Amanda Animal Hospital is a 2.5 doctor mixed animal practice in central/SE Ohio, located approximatley 45 minutes southeast of Columbus, Ohio. The practice offers services to both large and small animals in Fairfield County, as well as several of the other surrounding counties (Hocking, Licking, Vinton, Perry, Pickaway, etc.). The practice is located in Lancaster, OH and features 2 small animal exam rooms, surgery suite, isolation ward, large kennel area (with outdoor runs), digital and portable radiography, ultrasound (portable), equine surgery suite and hospitalization stall, 2 additional large animal hospitalization stalls, equine stocks, indoor cattle chute and portable cattle chute for on-farm services. Two mobile units with fully-stocked Bowie units are used for on-farm medicine. The practice is roughly 70% small animal, 30% large animal - which consists of cow/calf beef operations, 4H animals, swine, small ruminants, and equine.
