Associate Veterinarian

PetStar Animal Care of Ruston is a 3-doctor, AAHA-accredited, small animal veterinary practice in North Central Louisiana. We are seeking to add a full-time associate to our growing practice. Candidate shall be highly motivated and enthusiastic, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to function in an organized manner in a busy environment.  

PetStar is focused on providing high quality medicine and surgery, as well as top notch client education. We serve outstanding clientele, and have an experienced and upbeat support staff.  We are a team-oriented practice with a network of veterinarians and specialists working together for the benefit of our patients. The hospital is equipped with an Ellman Electrocautery unit, digital x-ray, Progeny/Midmark digital dental x-ray, Esaote MyLab30 Gold ultrasound, Idexx in-house laboratory equipment (Catalyst, Procyte, Sedivue, Coag analyzer), IM3 dental unit, and AVImark Practice Software.

We offer a family-friendly work schedule, rotating 3 to 4 days per week with no after-hours emergencies. Salary is based on experience, expertise and enthusiasm. A comprehensive benefit package offers paid registration and association dues, continuing education allowance, medical insurance, IRA plan, and vacation time.
