Small animal practice is seeking a Veterinarian to join our team. Our hospital sees various species. Willing to train and mentor a new graduate. Position is available for immediate hire.
Duties: - Diagnose and treat various illnesses and injuries in animals - Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as needed - Conduct physical examinations and administer vaccinations - Provide preventative care, including dental cleanings and parasite control - Educate pet owners on proper nutrition, behavior, and overall pet care - Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care for animals - Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
Experience: - Graduated from an accredited veterinary medical school - Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Oregon - Strong knowledge of animal pathophysiology, anatomy and disease processes, veterinary terminology, and laboratory procedures - Experience in animal restraint, handling, and care - Excellent communication skills with both pet owners and fellow staff members
