Qualification:
Shelter/HVHQSN experience preferred but not required.
Ideal candidate would have at least 5 years clinical experience, however, we are willing to make an exception for the right fit.
Must have excellent surgical technique
Must be able to multitask well
Must be able to communicate clearly and in a timely fashion with both veterinary and non-veterinary colleagues
Must be willing to oversee a team of 3-4 vet techs and ensure quality of care and maintain facility/equipment care
Must be willing to share on call duties which may include coming in after hours for emergencies
Must attend monthly staff meetings
Must be able to work in a fast paced setting with the unpredictable being the norm
Must have excellent written communication skills as email is the main mode of communication within the organization.

Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue is a foster-based, volunteer-driven rescue and has found loving homes for over 19,930+ animals including dogs, cats, pocket pets, and even farm animals since May 2010. We spent approximately $1,150,000 on animal care expenses in 2021. We will have updated information to share for 2024 as soon as possible and appreciate your support in the meantime!
Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue is an effort grounded in love, dedication and determination. Now a nonprofit organization, CHDR is 501 (c)3 status. State of Wisconsin licensed and inspected: 400340-DS. We rely solely on volunteers and donations to support our rescue effort. We are based out of the Twin Cities area, where all of our animals live in approved foster homes before going to their forever homes.
