Lexington Equine Medical Group is actively seeking a motivated and experienced Racetrack Veterinarian to join our high-performance team. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is passionate about supporting the health, soundness, and success of the equine athlete.

The ideal candidate will possess a DVM or equivalent degree and hold an active veterinary license in good standing. A minimum of three years of equine veterinary experience is required, with a strong preference for those who have worked in racetrack, performance, or sports medicine environments. Applicants must demonstrate a working knowledge of HISA regulations, including medication administration and compliance protocols.  Experience with drug administration protocols and race-day procedures is also required. Candidates should be confident communicators, capable of working collaboratively with trainers and other veterinary professionals under time-sensitive conditions.

Daily responsibilities include providing medical care, diagnostics, and treatments to racehorses in training and competition. The veterinarian will conduct soundness exams, interpret imaging, assist with treatment planning, and ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines, including medication documentation and race-day restrictions. Additional duties include attending morning training hours and fulfilling race-day veterinary obligations.
