You always have a second opinion available when you need it. We have a growing Small Animal Practice in the Heart of the Tennessee Valley. Recently ranked as the most educated city in the World! Yes, that is a world ranking! Huntsville, Alabama is a cosmopolitan city that continues to grow rapidly attracting many young professionals. Home of the Marshall Space Flight Center and a thriving Army Base, local industry includes: Research Genetics, Automotive Manufacturing, Military Support Contractors, New FBI center, many web-based businesses and the new center for the Space Force.
We need to add an additional team member who can appreciate cutting edge medicine and surgery. We would be willing to hire a new graduate that wants to be mentored by some well-seasoned practitioners and is willing to make lasting client connections. Alternatively, our five veterinarians would not mind learning some new tricks and procedures from our newer graduates. Total staff number is currently at 35. Our clients demand the latest in up-to-date medicine and surgery and even better yet, can afford it.
The clinic is over 10,000 square feet and is stocked with some of the finest equipment. We currently have five Veterinarians on staff, several career technicians as well as numerous veterinary assistants and attentive kennel staff. The practice has digital radiography, an Olympus endoscope with cameras and remote viewer, a Rhinoscope, both Heska and IDEXX chemistry, complete pinning and plating surgical equipment, not to mention cryosurgery and a Tono pen.
Although primarily a Small Animal Hospital we have treated the occasional reptile, goat and bird. Exotics and large animals could definitely expand the practice if someone had a special interest in these species.
We offer a good base salary with a great % production bonus. Starting salary is dependent on experience and a possible bonus is calculated every three months. Blue Cross and Blue Shield Medical and Dental Insurance are available. Vacation and paid continuing education, round out some of our many benefits. Possible extensive continuing education training in specific areas of interest may be provided to expand practice services. Possible buy in available for the right practitioner interested in practice ownership.
Flexible schedule. Part-time or full-time position available. When fully staffed our veterinarians typically work a four-day week or less.
